Shetland Wool by Harrisville Designs

This wool is a blend of an Australian fine wool and a hearty New Zealand wool that gives the yarn it’s luster. Shetland is spun more tightly on the spinning frames (higher turns per inch) so it is highly durable and will wear better and better every year. Shetland refers to the size of the yarn and not the fiber content. 100% Virgin Wool.

Cones contain approx. 900 yds. per 1/2 lb. cone (unwashed), sett: 10-12 e.p.i." This yarn is great for weaving, knitting or crochet. it is available in 64 colors.

Weaving thoughts: For a soft, light blanket weight fabric we suggest 10 epi For a more firm blanket or clothing we suggest 12epi For stiffer fabric you may choose up to 15epi using a firm beat.
